Awolnation: Neuer Song

Awolnation-Chef Aaron Bruno hat den ersten neuen Song seit dem 2018er Album "Here Come The Runts" veröffentlicht.

Exactly one year ago, the #wolseyfire came through and obliterated my home land. As many of you know, my studio and much of my World was destroyed, along with so many innocent animals and trees. Looking back on it, I can tell you that this was the start of these new songs and a new direction in my life in general. It inspired me to create an alternate reality for these tunes and ideas to live in. At times it was unbearable, but at others, my wife and I found a certain kind of beauty and peace after it all settled. A year later, the aftermath and scars are still very much visible, but we are stronger because of it, and more inspired than ever. The release of #thebest alongside with all of your incredibly positive feedback has got me thinking about what I wanna say to you. Simply put- life can be chaotic and difficult, but at the very least, I can try to be #thebest version of myself. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and thank you for listening.

So ... Here it is. I just wanted to post this and get some closure. She produced some of the most meaningful songs and memories of my life. “HERE COME THE RUNTS” was recorded here, and those songs will forever be connected to this place. From the room mic sound of the snare, the beautifully customized/hand dyed curtains, to the laughter and tears created in her, she will always be with us. Any time we play one of those songs, she will be on my mind, and I will be holding back tears. I KNOW how lucky I am to have survived this, and that so many people were much less fortunate, but it is important to me to lay her down to Rest In Peace I am overwhelmed with the support from those who have reached out. I love you ...
